Bride choosing her wedding dress with ghost dog watching through window – Chapter 34 The Dress Finding George

Chapter 34: The Dress

The Dress : (Chapter 34)

Waiting for Claudia

“On the way,” Claudia types. So, Kerry and I waited outside. Kerry looked so beautiful; gosh, she had lost the perfect amount of weight. I was clean, I had showered, yet I felt so drained, so kind of zombie-like, not that I have ever been a zombie. I was all in a daze as Claudia pulled up; we got in the car, Maxine and Claudia gave Kerry all the attention, and I just put my seat belt on. That’s all I remember.

The first appointment

“First appointment is right here,” said Maxine. We all got out of the car, and I just followed like a sheep. The 3 of them were chatting away, and I kept a few steps behind; they were all laughing and giddy with the thought of finding the dress. I can never get that moment back; I could do nothing about it.

The dress

Yet, I will now skip all of the next moments as they are private, and one thing I will never forget is my baby crying as she said the words, “Mum, this is the one.” As she walked out and looked like a princess, this was the first time that I had cried, not because of my George but because of what I had just seen. My baby was so happy she had found the dress, and wow had she, it was amazing.

I will tell you this was the first shop, yes the first appointment we had found Kerry’s dress in under an hour, more time for celebrating I suppose.

Celebration and interruption

Maxine then cancelled all the other appointments, and we headed straight for the port in Málaga. Claudia and Maxine had made the day so special, and now we were at a restaurant popping champagne.

Then my phone began to ring that beautiful siren ring, “I have your dog,” the man said. I just passed my phone to Maxine, “Please deal with this,” I said. I kind of went into a brain fog as I heard Claudia say to Kerry as to how amazing if we found your dress and then George on the same day.

The phone call

After 20 minutes of pure hell of Maxine trying to explain to this older gentleman how to send a video of this dog, the video came through. OK, so it wasn’t a pink poodle; Maxine simply typed, “Thank you, but that isn’t George.”

The end of the day

Claudia got the bill, and we all left; thank goodness the girls could focus on the dress as one thing for sure is how amazing it is that, that we found the dress in under an hour. I will never forget that day, not because of the phone call, but because Kerry found the dress.
